I am a solicitor (at Keystone Law) specialising in business partnership law, including partnership and LLP documentation drafting and partnership and LLP disputes.

In my work as a partnership and LLP lawyer I advise on issues between partners or LLP members across a range of business sectors, notably professional practices (solicitors, accountants, surveyors, architects, actuaries, medical practitioners, and others), City and offshore investment management and advice, property investment, retail, care, construction and entertainment.

The disputes with which I deal typically arise out of expulsion, retirement, death, partnership dissolution, discrimination, harassment/bullying, bad faith and fraud, covenants in restraint of trade (restrictive covenants), receivership, administration, and partnership and LLP insolvency and winding-up, as well as issues about ownership of assets, goodwill, accounts, or whether individuals are partners and/or are liable for partnership debts.

I am a Committee Member of the Association of Partnership Practitioners (“APP”), the leading forum in the partnerships field, and I have chaired APP workshops on “LLP Disputes”, “Rogue Partners” and “Partnership Disputes: Arbitration and Mediation”.

I have pursued a multitude of cases in the High Court in London, and a number of cases in the Court of Appeal, as well as arbitrations, though I am also a great advocate of negotiation and mediation, but from a firm base of having asserted my client’s claim or defence with clarity, so as to achieve the best deal.

I have been a CEDR accredited mediator since 1998 and I take mediation appointments, as well as acting for parties to mediations. In 2009 I set up the APP’s Directory of Partnership and LLP Dispute Arbitrators and Mediators, on which I am listed as one of the mediators.
